|Marco Fainello is head of the Technical Development of Ferrari GT Track Cars. Mechanical engineer, working with Ferrari since 1990 as an expert of car performance, he has spent 17 years in Formula 1 with the Scuderia from 1994 to 2011, winning 8 F1 Manufacturer Championships and during which he has been also responsible for GT car stability control developments, hybrid systems for F1 (KERS), R&D and tyre development. He has been in charge of GT track cars, which led to World Endurance Manufacturer Championships in 2013 and 2014 and to winning the last 24h Le Mans in GTE class.
In this talk Marco will speak about the development of Ferrari FXX-K. This car, presented last December, is not homologated for road neither for racing, therefore it represents the possibility to supply the top performance and pleasure to drive without compromises. It is a laboratory used to investigate the application of new technologies and concepts with the support of the best Ferrari clients to share the directions for future car design, in order to improve the driver/car interface for best driving satisfaction with ultimate performance.
